The History of Adobe Audition

Adobe purchased Cool Edit Pro's audio production platform and in our opinion, improved upon it. First came Cool Edit, followed by Cool Edit Pro as the multi-track version. Everything that users enjoyed with Cool Edit Pro was incorporated into what is now called Adobe Audition.

Multi-Track Audio Production

Working on an audio production in multi-track is intuitive. You can drop and drag audio files, adjust volume, pan, fade and apply effects to individual tracks - all from within multi-track.

Create unlimited tracks, or delete tracks as you narrow down your mixing focus. Save all tracks used in your multi session to a special folder with one click so you can manipulate individual tracks without destroying master files.

Single Wav Sound Editing

Adobe Audition offers everything that a single wav editor provides, but with the ability to switch back and forth between single sound editing mode and multi-track audio mode. You can click on individual tracks in multi-track mode to edit them, then go back to multi-track with the click of a mouse.

ll effects are available on the left of your audio track and you can customize your effects list and create a favorites list with your own presets.

Toggle back and forth from the master effects list and your favorites list. Create your own personal work space with your own presets.
